Fun London Engagement Shoot At Barbican Centre | Creative Wedding Photographer - London and Cambridge
When the pandemic affected Molly and Jake’s plans for their wedding last summer, the couple quickly got in touch to ask me if I could photograph their wedding this summer instead, and also have their engagement shoot at the Barbican Centre in London to which I said yes to both!
Brutalist Architecture for Creative Engagement Portraits
The Barbican Centre is near to where Jake regularly commutes to work, so it was a perfect location for the couple as they also enjoy visiting this cultural arts venue in London. The Barbican is also a gorgeous place for a couple photoshoot with its brutalist architecture giving way to strong shapes and lines, and beautiful pockets of light. The possibility to create unique, creative and interesting engagement photos is endless and with Molly and Jake being both easy-going and relaxed people, they were game for exploring the place for their fun portraits. We even found some areas of green oasis dotted within this vast urban city landscape.
Cambridge Wedding Photography for a Happy, Fun-loving Couple
I had such a great time with Molly and Jake on this Barbican engagement shoot. Their sense of fun and love for each other was just so lovely to see. I could tell that Molly was the sensible one, whereas Jake is keen on making everyone laugh. It wasn’t just Molly and Jake beaming with a smile during the whole couple shoot — as a photographer who loves to photograph emotion and connection between people, their joy is why I love doing this job.
I am really looking forward to photograph their Cambridge wedding at one of the university colleges this summer. It will be back in the place where they first met and studied, so I am excited for them. Not to mention that their Cambridge wedding venue also has some brutalist architectural features too. Do you get the connection for this couple’s love?
